This We Believe, This We Proclaim

We believe that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God and it is our rule of faith for daily living. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)

We believe in the one true God, the Creator of all things, who has revealed Himself in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4, John 15:26)

We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Son of the living God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18,  Phil. 2: 5-11, John 1:1, 14, 18.)

We believe in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ - He shed His blood and died on the cross for our sins, obtained eternal redemption for us, was buried, and was raised bodily on the third day and appeared to the disciples. (Luke 24:1-3, Acts 1:1-3, 2:22-36, I Corinthians 15:1-8, Hebrews 9:12-14)

We believe that salvation is only possible through Jesus Christ by grace and through faith for forgiveness of sin by repentance of the believer. (Eph. 2:8, Acts 4:12)

We believe that Christ has only one church, and salvation makes you a member.  We encourage unity and fellowship among all believers regardless of denominational affiliation. (Eph. 4:4-6)

We believe in sanctification and living holy by the power of the Holy Spirit.  We rely on the Holy Spirit to make us effective in our ministry and witness for Christ.  (Acts 1:8, Eph. 5:18)

We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and that each member of the Body of Christ has been gifted to edify and serve the church. (Luke 24:49, I Cor. 14:26, I Peter 4:10)

We believe in keeping the ordinances of the church:  Baptism, Communion, and Footwashing.  We baptize by immersion all those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior as an outward sign of an inward work. The Lord’s Supper is an affirmation of oneness in Christ and Footwashing is an act symbolizing the servant ministry of all Christians to each other and to the world. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:36-39, John 13:14-15, I Corinthians 11: 23-26)

We believe in the second coming of Christ:  that Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, is sitting at the right hand of the Father, and that He will physically return.   On the “Last Day”, there will be a resurrection of the dead including the righteous and the wicked, and after judgment the righteous will be rewarded and the wicked will be punished.  (I Thessalonians 4:13-18, John 14:2-3, Matthew 24:29-31)

We believe in divine healing and that Jesus is the Healer. (Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 8:16-17, James 5:14-15, Matthew 14: 35-36,  I Peter 2:24)

We believe in the local church and that it exists to glorify God being used as an instrument to disciple believers, and to establish the kingdom of God through prayer, fellowship and the ministry of the Word and to carry out the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:25)

WE PROCLAIM that we are...

  • A loving church that recognizes love is to be expressed and shared with others and that forgiveness is essential. (I Cor. 13, Matthew 22: 36-39)
  • A giving church that acknowledges that Christ is Lord over all that we have including our money, time, and talents. (Prov. 3:9, Matthew 25: 14-27)
  • A praying church that believes in the power and effectiveness of prayer without ceasing. (Phillipians 4:6-7, James 5:15-16, I Thessalonians 5:17)
  • A praising church that celebrates the Lord through singing and other expressions of worship and praise. (Psalm 100:4-5, I Thessalonians 5:16)
  • A grateful church that gives thanks to the Lord “in” everything (I Thessalonians 5:18)
  • A serving church that ministers to the needs of others as modeled by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (Matthew 20:26-27)
  • A purpose-driven church that worships, ministers, evangelizes, fellowships, and disciples. (Matthew 22:36-39, Matthew 28:19-20)
