Summer Day Camp/Joshua Team Leadership Program

The purpose of the Summer Day Camp is to provide families in the community a spiritual enrichment program for their children between the ages of 5 and 13.  It is held for eight weeks in the summer from the second week in June through the first week in August.  The hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  It is designed to meet the needs of working parents who desire a structured program for their children when school is out.  The camp provides a balanced program of activities, outings, recreation, and educational enhancement with computer training and other learning opportunities.  It seeks to ensure a safe environment and a quality program that promotes spiritual, mental, physical, and moral growth.

The Joshua Team Leadership Program is connected to the Summer Camp by providing summer employment to youth from 14 years of age and older to work as counselors and junior counselors in the camp.  The Joshua Team seeks to cultivate leadership skills, teamwork, employment experience, and other facets of leadership development.  It purposes to train and develop the next generation of leaders who are equipped to make sound decisions based on a biblical foundation to effect positive changes in the church, home, community, and the world.
